Great in scope and ambition! I can tell the creator put lots of time and energy, I backed the kickstarter and will continue to do so…

  2. CollectingwithDerrz

For a first time book, the paper quality and colors really stand out. The story gets you hooked enough to want to see where this story goes. I can’t wait to see where how far this creator goes in the future. From, CollectingwithDerrz

Note: I am the author’s sister. Take this review as you will.

The story is fast paced and action oriented. It’s a solid one shot that sets the scene for The Legend of Kyyden proper. I do think the reveal of the Protagonist trio (King Damian and his family) happens a bit too fast. There is also one panel where the Queen stabs an attacker right through his chest armor with a small knife. Unless the knife has a special ability not yet mentioned, it seems a bit implausible.

I can’t always tell if Damian is using a doubled sided weapon with retractable blades or a doubled sided light saber type weapon. I hope that is made clearer in the story proper.

The Dark Pursuer has an incredibly cool and intimidating design, and the panels featuring him are appropriately dark and tense. It will be interesting to see how King Damian will overcome this silent, relentless hunter. The dialogue is short and to the point, which works well with the fast paced, action oriented tone of the comic. The visuals also do a good job of telling the story.

Overall, the comic is a solid, enjoyable story. If you like Dark Medieval fantasy media, I believe you will enjoy the prologue to The Legend of Kyyden.

Fast paced and high stakes! This introduction definitely grabbed my attention with it’s characters, clean art, and mystery. Great start to a promising series.

Excellent introduction to a promising series! I really enjoyed the story so far, and it’s only the prologue!!! Can’t wait to read the rest of issues, so I can find out what will happen to Sol-Ar!!!

  6. Denis

A great new title to add to a growing world of heroes and villains from Jesse and his collaborators! Another home run!

  7. Benji

I backed the Kickstarter for this comic and I’m glad I did! This was a great book with nice art and an action packed story. Looking forward to the next one.
